At the annual Export Awards for Smaller
Businesses held at the Institute of Directors in London
in November 1999, Off-Highway Research was awarded the prestigious
Certificate of Merit for its export achievements over the
past three years. The Export Award scheme is sponsored by
the British Government.
In making the award Sir David Wright, former
Ambassador to Japan and currently chief executive of British
Trade International, stated that "Off-Highway Research's
achievements in the field of exports have been both notable
and sustained for such a small company".
In accepting the award David Phillips, Off-Highway
Research's Managing Director, said "This is welcome recognition
of the hard work put in by Off-Highway Research's consultants
around the world; in our London head office, as well as
our representative offices both in North America and Japan.
It is also a recognition of our ability to supply the research
requirements of a client base of some 500 OEMs, component
suppliers, distributors and financial organisations that
are increasingly looking for a global resource that can
meet their needs".
Off-Highway Research has had a long and
impressive experience in export markets: over the last three
years, on average of 80 per cent of Off-Highway Research's
revenues have been generated from overseas clients - a level
which increased to 87 per cent in 1999.
In the last 12 months Off-Highway Research
has serviced over 500 clients in 28 countries, and has undertaken
field research in 28 countries.
Off-Highway Research is a management
consultancy that specialises in the research and analysis
of international construction equipment markets, and is
the largest of its kind in the world.
